BASIC CYTRYNOWKA RECIPE (OLD STYLE)
Adapted from Lucyna Ćwierczakiewiczowa, 1885
1 Liter Spirytus
2 1/4 Cups Water
1.76 Pounds Sugar
Clean lemons properly to ensure all dirt and wax is removed.
Lemons + Spirytus
Place lemons in pot with Spirytus and let stand for 24 hours.
The next day, prepare a simple syrup with the water and sugar and allow to come to room temperature.
Remove the lemons and squeeze juice into the Spirytus. Mix in the simple syrup and stir to combine.
Ready to Serve
Chill and serve.
